For the best results, hand-washing or dry-cleaning is recommended to keep it looking its best. Over time, regular machine washing gradually diminishes some of its original softness and shine.
Let's clarify one key point: silk can be machine-washed, yet repeated washing gradually leads to subtle whitening and surface abrasion. This is exactly where washable silk makes a difference—designed for easier care. Through a specialized pre-treatment, the fabric becomes significantly more resilient.
